Senior Tech Class Curriculum
About this Course
- Grade: 6th-12th
- Course Structure: This course has three levels. Each Level is 12 classes(1 hr./week)
- Prerequisite: None
- Course Certificate: After successfully completing the course students will receive the course completion certificate.
- Usage Area: Coding, Robotics, and Raspberry Pi
- Format Available: In-person and Online class
- Online Class Requirements: A computer (windows or apple mac), headphones, and a webcam to join the Zoom class from home.
- In-Person Class Requirements: Required material will be provided including laptops
- Fee, Schedule, and Class Details: Visit the Online class registration page or In-Person class registration page
- Material Fee for Online Class: There is a refundable $70 material fee for online classes. Raspberry Pi and sensors will be shipped to students' addresses which they will use for the course. At the end of the class, the student must send the raspberry pi and sensors in good condition back to NextGen Tech to get the $70 refund. For in-person classes, students will use the Raspberry Pi kit and sensor provided by NextGen Tech in the class, and there is no material fee for the in-person class.
Raspberry Pi Programming and Python Programming
Raspberry Pi is a low-cost, credit-card-sized powerful microcontroller. It has the ability to interact with the outside world via GPIO pins and can be used in a wide array of digital projects, from smart devices to all kinds of IoT projects. It is a popular platform and offers a complete Linux server in a tiny platform for a very low cost.
Course Syllabus
In this class, students will be introduced to the Raspberry Pi. They will learn different elements of Raspberry Pi and how to use and program various sensors with Raspberry Pi.
